Hi - thanks for the note and kind words. A lot of it was done by me. It's amazing what you can do with iMovie and a cell phone video camera these days. You can look on the internet for video production services too. Many are relatively inexpensive and let you do things yourself so you can save a few bucks. I believe there's a posting somewhere on this forum from Bella about how to upload videos to YouTube, which is where my videos stream from on our site. Hope that helps! Good luck.

It IS an awesome video. Animoto.com does something similar to what you produced as well for the less advanced users :) I would suggest the $30 investment :)

Yes, animoto.com is what I used for chunks of the videos. I used their paid service just to get the option to have longer videos, but the free service works great if all you need is less than 30 seconds. It's a great option for us small business people.

I used iMovie to do the initial video editing and effects, then had Animoto glue the pieces together with their fancy transitions, then more with iMovie for a few more updates with title frames and stuff. With some creativity and a decent amount of effort, you can basically produce anything that you'd otherwise pay a few grand for.

Overwhelming just thinking about what you are saying.. lol. I will try it though,. :)

JR (off topic) - Amanda is having troubles watching some of the webinars bc of the format. You have a Mac... are you able to view them?

Sorry for the delay in responding.

On a mac, pretty much the only browser that seems to display these videos is Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html). There were no visible play/stop/pause buttons on the video frame, but it seemed that if I clicked on the image, the video stopped and if I clicked twice, it would start again.

Safari is really fast, but notoriously sucky with flash and some types of video. Google's Chrome also did not render these videos.

Wow, this is really great information. A local company will do it for me for $100, and they acted like this was doing me a huge favor...charitable act to help a small business....now I'm encouraged that if I provide all the videos and text I can get it done for $30! Thanks for the great tip!

Great song!
I would suggest slowing it down a bit.
The pictures are fuzzy bc they are cropped from the originals and they may have been low pixels?
Also, throw a picture of your logo in at the beginning and the end.

You can also add text to it as well :)

Good job. I would agree with Bella on all her suggestions.
You probably need to increase the resolution of your camera to get better quality pictures. I think there may be suggestions about file sizes on the animoto site for what works best.

I took a video of a client's cat, Boots, yesterday and sent it to her. This is what she said:

"That was a wonderful video, I'll show my family. Boots looks so content and was showing his belly is a sign of trust. I can see he is in great hands and had his belly full of shrimp. Thank you Julie, you made my day."

Here is the video (produced from the Flip video edting softward that came with my Flip):

I can see that the investment in the Flip was a good one!

See? Video says it better. Now work on building your "library" of those clients we talked about on our coaching call, ok? Having all different scenarios can really help you seal the deal with potential clients who may be on the fence :)

Nice. I've heard all types of people raving about these Flip cameras but don't know much about them myself. Guess they can come in handy.
